Nature Walk - King George V Park
We will get to know winter wildlife and better understand the Wood Wide Web, and its importance to capturing carbon. We will also get to know the heritage of the site better.
Time & Location
27 Ion 2024, 11:00 – 13:00
Pontardawe, 3 Brynawel, Pontardawe, Swansea SA8 4JP, UK
About the event
We have a simple shared goal: we want more people to be in, understand and love local nature.
We will get to know winter wildlife and better understand the Wood Wide Web, and its importance to capturing carbon. We will also get to know the heritage of the site better.
We will meet in the car park at 11:00 for a hot drink. There is ample parking around. The paths require walking and if possible for participants to be relatively steady on their feet. We aim to be together for a little over 2 hours.
Book your place here. For more information, please contact James Moore j.moore@uwtsd.ac.uk.
Working with Neath Port Talbot Council and Neath Port Talbot Local Nature Partnership, the University of Trinity St David’s is supporting the communities across Neath and Port Talbot to actively understand and love local nature more.

Parc King George V (Pontardawe)
Dydd Sadwrn 27 Ionawr 11:00
(Tua 2 awr)
Mae gennym nod syml a rennir: rydym am i fwy o bobl fod ym myd natur leol, ei deall a’i charu.
Byddwn yn dod i adnabod bywyd gwyllt y gaeaf ac yn deall y We Goed yn well, a'i bwysigrwydd i ddal carbon. Byddwn hefyd yn dod i adnabod treftadaeth y safle yn well.
Byddwn yn cyfarfod yn y maes parcio am 11:00 am ddiod boeth. Mae digon o le parcio o gwmpas. Mae angen cerdded ar y llwybrau ac os yn bosibl i gyfranogwyr fod yn gymharol sefydlog ar eu traed. Ein nod yw bod gyda'n gilydd am ychydig dros 2 awr.
