About the event

Join entomologist Liam Olds for a hands-on training day exploring the fascinating world of sand dune invertebrates at Aberavon Beach.


This session will introduce participants to the incredible diversity of insects and other invertebrates that inhabit sand dune ecosystems, from specialist bees and beetles to flies and bugs.


Learn how these species have adapted to survive in this ever-changing environment, develop skills in field identification, and gain an understanding of their ecological roles and conservation importance.


Ideal for anyone involved in conservation, or simply keen to deepen their knowledge of coastal biodiversity.
