Join the NPT for Nature Group for a guided Marsh Fritillary Butterfly Walk at Maerdy Playing Fields.


Led by ecologist Vaughn Matthews, this walk will focus on one of Wales’ most iconic and threatened butterflies. Discover how to identify Marsh Fritillaries, learn about their life cycle and habitat needs, and explore why sites like Maerdy Playing Fields are so important for their survival.


This informative guided walk is suitable for adults and families and offers a great opportunity to enjoy spring wildlife while learning about local conservation efforts.
